Inaugural Announcement of AI & Society

2025-12-06

AI & Society is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to critical, interdisciplinary inquiry into the relationship between artificial intelligence and human society. The journal serves as a global platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to examine, debate, and advance understanding of how AI systems are developed, deployed, and governed — and what consequences follow for individuals, communities, and institutions.

Rooted in the conviction that AI is not merely a technical phenomenon but a deeply social one, the journal encourages research that situates AI within broader political, cultural, historical, and ethical contexts. We publish work that is rigorous, reflective, and willing to interrogate assumptions — both about what AI can do and what it should do.
